Jarinko Chie Dropped

Bittersweet news -- bitter for me, sweet for everyone else -- Jarinko Chie has officially been licensed, which means that I'll no longer be working on episodes of the show. My efforts have ended at Episode 13. Please buy the new Blu-Ray set, coming out in 2024, if you're interested in seeing the rest of the show! Thanks for everyone's support getting this far.

    It's bitter for me, too. Your work has a personal touch that will be sorely missing from Discotek's release, particularly where the series' Kansai dialect is concerned. The clip they posted from episode 2 strips away any hint of the characters' accent... but I digress.

    THANK YOU for all your efforts on this series! You rescued an all-time classic, for which I'm very grateful. I'll continue to look forward to your work on Maruko-chan and Step Jun, as well.
