Bittersweet news -- bitter for me, sweet for everyone else -- Jarinko Chie has officially been licensed, which means that I'll no longer be working on episodes of the show. My efforts have ended at Episode 13. Please buy the new Blu-Ray set, coming out in 2024, if you're interested in seeing the rest of the show! Thanks for everyone's support getting this far.
It's bitter for me, too. Your work has a personal touch that will be sorely missing from Discotek's release, particularly where the series' Kansai dialect is concerned. The clip they posted from episode 2 strips away any hint of the characters' accent... but I digress.

ReplyDeleteThanks for all the work you've done on all these series. I've really enjoyed the first 13 episodes you did. I just watched the first episode of the official release and wow, the subs are terrible compared to yours. So generic and bland, they took away all their personality.
